Article 42.

Everyone has the right to peaceful assembly and demonstration, in accordance with the law.

Article 43.

Everyone has the guaranteed right to freedom of association to defend common interests or convictions and social, economic, political, national, cultural and other objectives. For these purposes, everyone may freely form, join or leave trade unions or other associations, in accordance with the law.

The right to freedom of association is limited by the prohibition of any violent threat to the democratic constitutional order, independence, unity and territorial integrity of the Republic of Croatia.

Provides for the creation, organization, legal status and termination of associations, as well as the registration and termination of foreign associations. This law does not concern trade unions and employers’ associations (with the exception of article 38, paragraphs 4 and 5 on the ownership of associations which are the legal successors of the former associated labor organizations, and article 41 on trade unions and employers’ associations registered as social organizations which must register as associations).
