PRELIMINARY TITLE: FUNDAMENTAL PRINCIPLES AND RIGHTS

Article 1

13°) The right to form associations, political parties or formations, trade unions, companies, establishments of social interest and religious communities is guaranteed to all under the conditions laid down by law; religious communities shall regulate and administer their affairs independently, subject to respect for the principles of national sovereignty, public order and the preservation of the moral and mental integrity of the individual.

Associations, political parties or groups, trade unions, companies, social interest establishments and religious communities whose activities are contrary to the law, public morality or the good relations of ethnic groups or groups may be banned under the terms of the law (Act no. 047/2010 of 12 January 2011).

Any act of racial, ethnic or religious discrimination, as well as any regionalist propaganda that may undermine the internal or external security of the State or the integrity of the Republic, is punishable by law;
