Article 26.

Palestinians have the right to participate in political life, individually and collectively. In particular, they have the right to:

  1. form, establish or join political parties, in accordance with the law ;
  2. form and establish trade unions, associations, societies, clubs and popular institutions, in accordance with the law;
  3. vote, propose candidates and stand for election, to have representatives elected by universal suffrage, in accordance with the law;
  4. to hold public office, in accordance with the principle of equal opportunity;
  5. to hold private meetings, without the presence of members of the police, and public meetings, rallies and parades, within the limits of the law.
